What is Photoroom?

Photoroom is an AI editor aimed at product and listing photos rather than general design. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web, and work happens inside Spaces, where each Space carries its own subscription and credit pool.

Yes, with real limits. The Free plan restricts features, caps exports at about 100 images a month and keeps AI generation low, and its terms allow personal use only. Anyone selling products needs a paid plan.

Credits pay for heavy AI tools such as AI Backgrounds Studio, Virtual Model, Edit with AI and the Video Generator. Exports count every image you save, download or sync to Shopify, one per file, for assets up to 2K.

Max and Ultra. Pro leaves the Video Generator out entirely; Max allows up to 50 video generations and Ultra up to 150, assuming the whole monthly credit pool goes to video rather than images.

Yes. Photoroom offers an MCP connector that works as a custom connector in Claude. API and MCP usage run on a separate allowance, so they do not eat into the export limit of your app plan.

Yes, a 7-day trial on yearly Pro and Max plans, applied automatically the first time you upgrade a Space. It is available once per customer, Ultra and API plans have no standard trial, later Spaces are billed immediately, and billing starts on day 8 unless you cancel first.
