  • SuperGrok Heavy includes X Premium+ at no extra cost once you connect your X account, so you don't need to pay for both.
  • The plans page offers annual billing with a saving over paying month to month.
  • If you regularly run out of weekly usage, upgrading usually costs less per action than Extra Usage Credits, which are charged at standard rates.
  • When your weekly pool is used up, Free-tier Chat and Voice limits still apply, so light use can continue at no cost.

What is Grok?

Grok is SpaceXAI’s assistant at grok.com, in the iOS and Android apps and inside X. Beyond chat, one account covers Grok Imagine for images and video, voice conversations, the Grok Build coding agent and, from SuperGrok up, Grok Bot agents. The current plans advertise the Grok 4.6 model.

How the plans are organized

There are five individual tiers: Free, SuperGrok Lite, SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and SuperGrok Heavy. Paid tiers moved to a single weekly usage pool in June 2026, so a higher tier mainly buys a bigger pool, faster replies and higher video resolution. Grok Bot is also included with paid individual Cursor plans.

Limitations

  • Only SuperGrok and SuperGrok Plus have prices on the public pricing page.
  • Every Imagine output carries a watermark, and 720p video falls back to 480p once your tier’s 720p cap is reached.
  • Companions are available only in the iOS app.
  • Extra Usage Credits can be bought only on the web for now, and they expire one year after purchase.

Yes. The Free plan includes chat, real-time web and X search, voice mode and connectors within usage limits. SuperGrok plans raise those limits and add image and video generation, Expert mode and Grok Bot.

SpaceX. It announced the acquisition of xAI, Grok's developer, on February 2, 2026, and the company now brands itself SpaceXAI. Grok.com, the mobile apps and the API continue under that name.

Paid plans get one weekly pool, shown as a percentage in Settings → Usage. Video and long coding tasks consume more than chat. When it runs out, you can buy Extra Usage Credits from $5 on the web, upgrade or wait for the reset.

No. Grok Imagine adds a watermark to every generated image and video, there's no setting to turn it off, and removing or obscuring it violates xAI's Acceptable Use Policy.
