Use cases

  • Generate an infographic with readable text and post it straight to your Instagram Story.
  • Find a used desk on Facebook Marketplace nearby and compare it with new ones sold online.

Pricing

Pricing from
$7.99/month

Meta AI is free for everyday use. Meta One Core costs $7.99/month and Premium $19.99/month, adding more Muse-powered image and video generation plus Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp perks; pricing varies by region.

Ways to save

  • Meta One AI usage resets each billing cycle and unused allowance doesn't carry over, so pick the lower tier unless you use it every month.
  • Core includes the Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus features, which cost $3.99, $3.99 and $2.99 a month on their own.

What is Meta AI?

Meta AI is the assistant Meta builds into its social apps and also offers as a standalone app and at meta.ai. Meta Superintelligence Labs rebuilt the stack around the Muse model family, starting with Muse Spark in April 2026 and Muse Image in July.

Meta One paid bundles arrived on September 15, 2026; basic Meta AI remains free.

What stands out

Meta AI draws on context from Meta’s own apps: Reels, public posts from locals about a place, and Marketplace listings near you. You can also talk to it by voice or point your camera at something, and Incognito chats are there for private conversations.

Limitations

  • New features often launch in select markets first, and Meta One plans and prices vary by region and account.
  • Meta doesn’t publish numeric generation limits for free, Core or Premium.
  • Chats with Meta AI feed content and ad personalization in most regions.
  • Features can change quickly: an image option that referenced public Instagram accounts was removed within days in July 2026 after feedback.
